Is Astral Projection dangerous?

It depends.If you consider a potentially life-changing experience that will affect your beliefs and style of thinking dangerous– then yes, it could be quite dangerous indeed!

If you consider physical harm dangerous, then barring any heart conditions, you will not be in any danger during an Astral Projection. Though called “projection”, we have to realize that we have many bodies. At least one for each dimension in existence, in fact!

What happens during a projection is that your will shifts its focus from one body to another. The newly focused upon body was either already in existence, or created impromptu by your chakra energies. In other words, you are producing a clone to act as a temporary body and merely transferring your focus to it. You still exist inside your original body, you never “leave” therefore there is no possession possible, as many people like to claim.

So in truth, the very terms “out of body experience” or “astral projection” are misnomers.

The only thing that might be slightly scary is the fact that in the astral plane, material is not as dense as in the physical plane, and the energy is much higher, making it very easy to manifest our thoughts, especially when infused with emotion (the astralplane is the dimension where emotions rule). So if you’re scared of say dogs… you may see some dogs if you are not adept at controlling your thoughts. They may be of your own creation or they may be attracted by your negative thoughts.

If you have any major fears, either learn to control your thoughts or conquer your fears so you can face them without feeling any fear. Ideally, do both. In fact, I will go so far as to say it is more dangerous to not astral project, as it is to astral project.

Before you burn me at the stake, allow me the privilege of explaining this to you. In no way do I wish to place your focus on anything negative, however, the fact of the matter is: our physical bodies are fragile pieces of meat. Any number of accidents or acts of hate either on our part or the part of others can lead to the termination of our physical existence.

Let us compare that to projection of the consciousness into the astral or mental or even higher (more inward, the physical realm is the outermost onion layer) realms. In the astral realm, the body you use cannot be destroyed, cannot feel pain, and cannot pass away without your express intent and intentional effort. In the astral, there is no danger at all, for you are immortal, invincible, and invulnerable, if you only believe.
